Measure around the middle of your natural waistline, this should be approximately around where your belly button sits or just above.
Hips:
Measure around the widest part of your hips, making sure the tape measure is sitting straight around the largest part of your bum.

They run small and were not high waist enough to hold in an apron belly while running. I love the color and the material, just a little too short (they rode up) & snug on top. I ordered a few different sizes because I didn't trust just going off the size chart. . . and even with buying some items L and XL, the sizes are SMALL and not true to size.
