June 13, 2019: Ordered new garment bags made from biodegradable and compostable materials for majority of our products within our business.
July 16, 2019: An internal committee meeting to identify areas within our business to reduce environmental impacts was held.
September 19, 2019: Internal team commitment to reduced paper use.
April 30, 2020: New Biodegradable bags in circulation with instructions for the recipient on how to re-use bag for returns.
July 30, 2020: Formal training conducted with UAL in fashion Sustainability.

Our new biodegradable shipping bags are currently in circulation with instructions for the recipient on how to re-use the bag for returns. As well as product now packed in biodegradable packing bags.

Our best shorts just got better! Now the entire Rep Short range is created from recycled polyester and ready to rep: day in, day out.
What benefits can our community see from recycled polyester?
• Using more recycled polyester reduces our dependence on petroleum as the raw material for our fabric needs.
• Diverting PET bottles for this process decreases the need for landfill, reducing soil contamination and air / water pollution + requires less energy than virgin polyester
• Garments created from recycled polyester aim to be continuously recycled with no degradation of quality.
So that’s it! Just one way we are tackling our supply chain to look at new and progressive ways of supplying you, our community, with high performance, stylish and more sustainably conscious products!
PRE-CONSUMER RECYCLED NYLON
ROASTED PUFFER JACKETS
Our outer shell fabric is made from pre-consumer recycled Nylon. What this means is fabric off-cuts and leftovers are collected during the manufacturing process of other Nylon products (fishing nets, camping equipment etc.) and then prepared for use again in our garments. Our inner lining fabric is made from recycled polyester – maximising the use of recycled materials through our jackets. All part of our efforts to be 1% better everyday.
